Smart Travel Consulting
Brant consults on how to apply mobile and Internet of Things (IoT) technology to the business of Intelligent transportation. Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) take many forms…from smart parking to driverless cars, from shared car services to infotainment. The common thread is using technology to improve the safety, comfort, and convenience of the mobile public.
Brant is especially interested in building a modern, digital tourism infrastructure that caters to the growing number of tourists who research, buy, and experience travel via a mobile device. He is the co-founder of Go!Mobile Orange, the world’s largest repository of self-guided tours and the author of How to Build a Robust Tourism Economy Using Mobile Technology: A Non-Technical Guide for Executives, Tour Operators, and EconDev Professionals.
Brant’s experience with ITS began in the late 90’s when he was IBM’s Global Solution Manager for Motor Vehicle Systems. After winning a patent for a method for monetizing digital music via telematics, he left IBM in 2000 to found his first start-up. He continues to engage in ITS opportunities today at the intersection of sales, marketing, and product/project management. You can read his blog here, which include articles such as:
